About Course

Lead your classroom with calm, clear, consistent behavior management. You bring real teaching experience. This course shows you how U.S. schools expect teachers to prevent, redirect and respond to student behavior, so you can step in with confidence from your first day.

You will learn the three-tiered MTSS and PBIS system, build routines students understand, and practice proximity, nonverbal cues and behavior-specific praise. Then you will create three tools that are yours to keep: a Proximity Practice Plan, a Behavior Response Script and a Personal Tier 1 Toolkit.

Includes: video lesson, fillable JOY workbook, Apply It reading and worksheets, a 10-question knowledge check and a JOY Certificate of Completion. About 2 hours, self-paced.
