About Course

Walk into your U.S. classroom with clarity, confidence, and a plan. This JOY Pathway 1 course shows internationally trained and early-career educators how U.S. classroom culture works, how to teach expectations so they actually hold, and how to respond to student behavior calmly, privately, and in line with school policy.

Through real classroom scenarios (a disrupted group activity, a phone incident, and a student who suddenly goes quiet), you will practice redirection, the behavior-response continuum, restorative conversations, and your legal duties as a mandated reporter. You leave with a completed classroom management plan, a routines map, and your first-week commitments.

About 2 hours: video lesson, fillable JOY workbook, research reading with an Apply It worksheet for your own school, a 10-question knowledge check, and a JOY certificate of completion.
